My inspiration for this post came from a video I found on LinkedIn. I’ve included a still frame from the video below. I wasn’t enthralled with the car design in the video but I loved the background and the mood it created. I enjoyed the challenge of placing a figure in front of my design.
I included the entire page of doodles this time around which I usually don’t do. I thought my viewers might be interested in the thought process that goes into these posts. As you can see, I place an arrow next to the ones that intrigue me for further development.
I love sketching futuristic cars with long wheelbases and expressive forms. My goal was to create a design that was as ‘head turning’ as any sports car, but without relying on air scoops to make it dramatic.
As usual, I didn’t decide what brand to make this post until I was further along in the design process. I felt the flowing forms had an Italian flair to them. Since I hadn’t sketched an Alfa before, I forged ahead in that direction.
I didn’t like the past Alpha Romeo front end designs that I found on NetCarShow, so I created my own new ‘face’ for the brand.
I also don’t like Alpha wheel designs, so I used ones from the Lamborghini Lanzador concept crossover. They have roundish design elements similar to Alpha’s.
I spent a good deal of time refining my design in Adobe Photoshop. Over the course of 3 days, I went from raw sketch to polished rendering using Photoshop and Vizcom.ai.
Once I was satisfied with the design, I generated AI videos of it in Chat GPT Sora and Runway ML. I had excellent results with both without entering anything in the prompt. Unfortunately, I still ended up with artifacts in the videos, particularly at the rear where AI didn’t have enough information to properly depict my intent.
Overall, the videos were dramatic. AI did a remarkable job of creating realistic and fluid movements of the female figure as she walked by the car. The last image in this post was created from a still frame from the video with much Photoshop work and further enhanced by adding interior details.

Looks great Bob.
Ooooh Bob, so nice. Its classy, slick, new and you accomplished what you were striving for. The model in white is a nice touch. I hope Alfa gets to see this.
WOW. Wonderful Design Concept.
Presentation is amazing. The fluid design theme is spot on. I also hope Alfa sees this design. Love the door opening, revealing gorgeous interior.
Lighting is magical. Fab design work
Robert. I can never tell if you’re working your designs or just having fun 😁
Very impressive and elegant . The car is a good combo of sport and luxury. IMO, I really don’t like a model in front of the car when I want to see the design.
