I took my sketch from the Buick shooting brake post and added more detail but didn’t intend it to be a mid-engine design. Vizcom.ai had other ideas. The AI added air scoops to my proposals and turned them into a roadster. The generated images had a mid-engine Bugatti feel to them, so I just went with it. Bugatti’s have a unique French avante-garde quality to their designs. I feel this design has that quality with the unique wrap around windshield, the proportions and the quirky details. The wrap around windshield frame mimics a Formula 1 race car ‘halo’ that protects the driver.
I had the best outcome in Vizcom.ai with the style: Pastel Render. I combined the door from one result, plus the windshield from another on the body of a third in Adobe Photoshop. I used a Nissan show car for the reference image.
I enjoy sketching Bugatti’s for the romantic, flowing lines and softer forms. This is my first attempt at a modern Bugatti.
I’m not a big fan of the large grille on current Bugatti’s. I purposefully made the ‘horse-shoe’ grille smaller to only encapsulate the oval emblem.

The clean lines of the finished car are great. Colors are terrific. I never would have gotten color like that in pastel!
