I decided to do something different for my 25th post, an autonomous speed shape. To loosen up, I enjoy sketching one-box empathic forms on a long wheelbase with short overhangs. It’s a challenge using Vizcom.ai on them since it likes to turn every design into a sports car by adding aggressive scoops.
I decided to badge this concept as a Mercedes-Benz once I had completed rendering it. The form vocabulary looked Teutonic to me and the falling drip line and sail panel reminded me of a Mercedes-Benz sedan.
The side glass is deliberately gradated around its perimeter making it less defined and more mysterious. I put a new twist on the side sweep spear which is a point of reference of a familiar feature on an unfamiliar design. I consciously used arcs for the main features. The rear wheels are skirted for better aerodynamics.
I immediately had great results with the style: Vizcom General. I like the moody look it gives. Of course, the featured image was a combination of several AI generated images and much Adobe Photoshopping.
I included a few raw Vizcom results since there were many great ones to choose from. The last image was heavily Photoshopped.
