I love to explore one-box car designs as high-utility futuristic sedans. The early sketches were very empathic Photoshop experiments. I was trying to create combinations of forms I haven’t seen before. There’s a tremendous range in designs shown due to my exploration in a variety of directions.
The gold sketch resembles a Lamborghini due to the angularity and sheerness of its surfaces. I also didn’t want the design to turn into a Chuck Jordan Lumina APV for those of you that remember the ‘Dust Buster’ vacuum sweeper design. My goal was to achieve a contemporary sedan that didn’t resemble a mid-engine coupe.
Once again, I created line drawings of my empathic renderings to better aid Vizcom in generating useful sketches.
Ultimately, I felt the early attempts were too deconstructive to pursue any further.
